Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd. ("NHL") is committed to respecting the privacy of every person who shares
information with NHL. Your privacy is important to us, and we strive to take reasonable care and protect the
information we receive from you, the User. In this regard, we adhere to the applicable governing laws in
India related to Privacy and Personal Data Protection.
This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to the collection, storage, processing, disclosure

transfer of your Personal Information (defined below) as per the above-mentioned laws, when such Personal
Information is shared with NHL for any prupose or transaction or services (“Services”).
The terms ‘You’ or ‘Your’ refer to you as the User of our Services and the terms
‘We’, ‘Us” and ‘Our’ refer
to NHL and it’s Group Companies along with Business Partners.

- “Personal Data / Personal Information” means any data about an individual who is

- “Processing / Process / Processed” in relation to personal data, means a wholly or

operation or set of operations performed on personal data, and includes operations such as collection,
recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation retrieval, use, alignment or combination,
indexing, sharing, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, restriction,
erasure, or destruction.
- “Data Principal” means the individual to whom the personal data relates and where
such individual

(i) A child, includes the parents or lawful guardian of such a child;
(ii) A person with disability, includes her lawful guardian, acting on her behalf.
- “Data Fiduciary” means any person who alone or in conjunction with other persons
determines the
purpose
and means of processing of personal data.
- “Data Processor” means any person who processes personal data on behalf of a Data
Fiduciary.
- “Group Companies” means NHL, its subsidiaries, business affiliates, or any other
entity that
directly or
indirectly controls, is controlled by, or is under common control of NHL including its subsidiaries,
associate companies, affiliates, and joint venture entities. The term "control" shall mean the
possession, directly or indirectly, of the power to direct or cause the direction of the management and
policies of an entity, whether through ownership of voting rights, by contract, or otherwise.
- “Business Partners” shall mean any person, entity, association, society, educational
institution,
partnership firm, sole proprietorship or organization with whom NHL or its Group Companies is having
business collaboration for providing or availing the healthcare and allied and incidental services,
either directly or indirectly.
2. Collection
We collect Your Personal Information directly from You, from third parties and automatically through Our
Website or Our Applications. This Personal Information, for instance, would relate to the type of device You
are using, the time that You have logged on to Our Website or Our Applications, Your IP address and other
Personal Information as listed in Section 6 below. The personal information collected shall be used and
disclosed for various purposes in accordance with your Consent and this Privacy Policy.
You can further choose to share additional Personal Information with Us, by writing to Us via the contact
details provided in Section 14.
3. Consent
- By virtue of the Consent separately provided by you, it is agreed by
You that You have, freely consented to the collection, storage, processing, disclosure and transfer of
Your Personal Information in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy and the Consent.
- You acknowledge that You have provided Your Personal Information out of
your free will and after understanding how it will be used. You also consent that the collection,
storage, processing, disclosure and transfer of any Personal Information shall not cause any wrongful
loss to You, if it is done in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy and the Consent.
However, we shall not be liable for any loss that may happen to you owing to the provision of wrongful
Personal Information by You.
4. Control Over Your Personal Information
- You have the right to withdraw Your consent at any point, provided such
withdrawal of the consent is intimated to us in writing through an email

the same. If You wish to rectify the Personal
Information that we may have collected to offer You healthcare services, other personalized services and
offers, you may reach out to us through the contact information set out in Section 14 of this Privacy
Policy for raising a request, citing the reason for such rectification of Personal Information.
- However, once You withdraw Your Consent to share the Personal
Information collected by Us, we shall stop processing your personal information and by which You may not
be able to avail the online services we offer, and usage of Our website and Our Applications might get
restricted. Additionally, withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any Processing we
have conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect Processing of your Personal Data conducted
on lawful Processing grounds other than consent.
5. Changes to Privacy Policy

advance notice. However, You shall be notified only if there are material changes to this Privacy

- By providing details to a Health Care Professional or Company

- When You / Your representatives apply for / collect birth / death

8. Use of Personal Information / Purpose(s) for the collection of Personal Information
Your Personal Information may be used by NHL, Group Companies and Business Partners for various purposes
including but not limited to the following:
- To provide healthcare services including preventive, diagnostic and
medical treatment services and all related ancillary and allied clinical and non-clinical enabling
services
- To facilitate insurance cashless processing (pre-authorization and
final approvals) with the Insurance service provider
- To facilitate payment processing by sponsors on your behalf (government
and non-government)
- To operate, improve the Website and/or our Services and to enhance Your
experience
- For patient engagement via phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email or any digital
communication mode to ensure continued healthcare services, extension of new services or products or
benefits and seeking User feedback and grievance redressal
- To maintain electronic medical records of patients, including medical &
treatment history, medications, insurance details and to facilitate digital journey for the patients and
providing IT support
- To perform studies, research and analysis of clinical and non-clinical
nature for improving Our information, analysis, services and technologies and publication of study or
research reports on aggregate anonymized basis
- To resolve any grievance/complaints received from You
- To fulfill mandate of any government, quasi-government, statutory,
regulatory and judicial authority
- To archive medical records and other relevant documents as per
applicable legal & regulatory requirements
- For processing refunds to patients
- To facilitate the ambulance driver to reach the correct location of the
patient
- To audit any specific events/incidents reported at the hospital
- For accounting & audit purposes
- To collect and process pre-requisite information from blood donors as
mandated by the Government Authorities
- To ensure safety and security of the hospital premises
- To dispense medications, consumables and implants for patients
- To report incidents involving patients to the Safety Committee
- To monitor & ensure security of systems during information processing
- To transfer information about You if we are acquired by or merged with
another company
- To schedule interviews and to provide employment services

to You or NHL that you have ordered to enable them to provide effective services,

and business intelligence purposes, and to transfer such research, statistical or intelligence data in

“Purpose(s)”)
9. Sharing and Transferring Personal Information to Third Parties
- Once you have freely consented to share your Personal Information with
us, You authorize us to exchange, transfer, share, part with all or any of Your Personal Information,
across borders and from Your country to any other countries across the world with the Cloud Service
Provider and Our affiliates / agents / third party service providers / partners / banks and financial
institutions or any other persons, for the Purposes specified under this Privacy Policy or as may be
required by applicable law. However, the transfer is carried out under organizational and contractual
measures to ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations to safeguard your personal
data.
- You acknowledge that some countries where we may transfer Your Personal
Information may not have data protection laws that are as stringent as the laws of Your own country. You
acknowledge that it is adequate that when NHL and its Group Companies transfers Your Personal
Information to any other entity within or outside Your country of residence, NHL and its Group Companies
will place contractual obligations on the transferee which will oblige the transferee to adhere to the
provisions of this Privacy Policy.
- We may disclose Your information to any international third-party
companies/organizations & Government bodies to procure the medicine, in case the medicine is not
available in India. However, the transfer is carried out under organizational and contractual measures
to ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations to safeguard Your personal data.
- We may also share your personal information with banking, legal and
insurance services (who may act as Processors or Fiduciaries) to the extent we are legally obliged to
share or have a legitimate use in sharing your personal information
- We may share anonymized / de-identified information with research
organizations, for the advancement of medical research to improve patient outcomes in future.
- We may share Your Personal Information with our Group Companies for
providing / offering healthcare services, processing data on behalf of NHL, offering any new services
including but not limited to wellness, preventive, diagnostic, medical treatment and pharmacy services
and packages and benefits related to healthcare and health insurance service, and providing any
information for offers and discounts that may be available from time to time.
- We may share Your Personal Information with our Business Partners for
availing / providing services from / by the Business Partners for either healthcare and allied services,
customer engagement services or data processing and other administrative services.
- It is possible that certain information will be stored on servers in
multiple other countries on the “cloud” or other similar distributed hosting platforms. By
providing
Your Personal Data to us, You are consenting to the transfer of Your Personal Data between India and
other jurisdictions, and to our use and disclosure of Your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy
Policy. However, such transfers will be made by implementing reasonable security measures for protection
of Your Personal Data.
10. Use of Cookies
- We may store temporary or permanent ‘cookies’ on your
computer. You can
erase or choose to block these cookies from your computer. You can set or amend your web browser
controls to accept or refuse cookies. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use the Website

11. Security
- The security of your Personal Information is important to us. We have
adopted reasonable security practices and procedures including Physical, Technical and Administrative
measures to ensure that the Personal Information collected and processed is secure and to prevent
unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, loss, and misuse of personal information. We
restrict access to your Personal Information to Our and Our affiliates’ employees, agents, third
party
service providers, partners, and agencies on a need-to-know basis and in relation to the Purposes as
specified above in this Privacy Policy. While We will endeavor to take all reasonable and appropriate
steps to keep secure any information which We hold about You and prevent unauthorized access, You
acknowledge that the internet is not 100% secure and that We cannot provide any absolute assurance
regarding the security of Your Personal Information. We will not be liable in any way in relation to any
breach of security or unintended loss or disclosure of information caused by Us in relation to your
Personal Information.
12. Compliance with Laws
- We adhere to the applicable governing laws in India related to Privacy
and Personal Data Protection.
- You are advised not to use the services of the Website or Applications
if any of the terms of this Privacy Policy are not in accordance with the applicable laws of your
country.
13. Retention of Personal Information
- NHL shall retain your Personal Data only for the duration it is
necessary for legal, regulatory and business requirements. We maintain specific records management and
retention policies and procedures, so that personal data are deleted after a reasonable time according
to the retention criteria for such data in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory and business
requirements.

NH Care (Applications), email communications received on

on +91 8067506890 (collectively, the "Platform"). The Platform is owned and operated by Narayana
Hrudayalaya Limited, a public limited company existing under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013
having its registered office at #258/A, Bommasandra Industrial Area, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru - 560099
(the "Company" which expression shall mean and include, unless repugnant to the context, its successors
in interest, affiliates and permitted assigns). The Platform is also used by hospitals operated and
managed by the Company and its Affiliates. This Privacy Policy covers the Company, its Affiliates and
the hospitals managed by the Company and its Affiliates and is limited to the information provided by
the user and collected by the Company through the Platform
"You" or the "User" in this Policy refers to any person who voluntarily uses the Platform for the
purpose of obtaining Services from the Company and its team of duly qualified doctors. You are a
resident of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burundi, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of the Congo,
Ethiopia, Fiji, Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Jamaica, Kenya, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar,
Maldives, Mauritius, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Rwanda, , Republic
of the Congo, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Uzbekistan,
Yemen, Zambia only. Individuals residing in other countries shall not access the Platform and the
Services rendered through the Platform.
By visiting and/or using the Platform, you agree to the terms of this
Privacy Policy and it shall be deemed that you have read in full, accepted and agreed to the terms
herein. The Company reserves the right to modify the terms contained in this Privacy Policy at any time
by posting such modifications on the Website. The modified Privacy Policy would be effective from the
date of modification that is posted by the Company on the Website. If you do not agree to any term that
is contained in this Privacy Policy, please immediately cease your use of the Platform.
This Privacy Policy is issued pursuant to the provisions that are contained in (a) Section 43A of the
Information Technology Act, 2000; (b) Rule 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security
Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
Information (as defined hereinafter) that is collected by the Company on the Platform shall be used by
the Company only for the purpose of providing the Services (as defined hereinafter) and other purposes
as mentioned in the consent form, and such information shall not be used, sold, transferred or rented in
a manner that is not set out in this Privacy Policy and the consent form.
Purpose of processing Information:
The Company shall process Information provided by You for the purpose of rendering Services comprising
of Online Evaluation (wherein the Platform connects Users to the network of experts working with the
Company and facilitates the issuance of a feasibility of the medical treatment of the medical condition
or illness suffered by the Patient in the Hospital) and Online Follow-up Consultation (wherein the
Platform connects Users to the network of experts working with the Company and facilitates the further
treatment of the medical condition or illness that was previously treated during the physical visit of
the Patient to the Hospital) through electronic communications, which includes but is not restricted to
video-calling, telephonic communication, transmission of information via emails, text messages etc.
The Company shall also process PHI (defined hereinafter) for the purpose of rendering the service of
creating digital record and processing of PHI.
The Company shall also process Information provided by You for the purpose of receiving professional
fees towards the Services rendered by the Company.
The Company shall also process de-identified Information provided by You for medical research and
development purposes.
Lastly, the Company shall process the information provided by You to educate you or notify you with
respect to the relevant products and services offered by the Company
The services listed in this clause shall collectively be referred to as the Services.
Information that is processed by the Company:
In providing the various Services on the Platform, the Company shall collect certain personal
information and sensitive personal information [as defined in Information Technology (Reasonable
Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and
collectively referred to as Information] from you. This information would, inter alia, include the
following:
- Contact information: The Company shall collect your name, email id, mobile number, postal address
etc.
- Information to provide the Services: the Company shall collect information regarding your medical
history, medical reports, details of medication taken, health condition, prescriptions, allergies,
age, body weight, medical insurance data, family medical history etc. in order to provide the
Services in an efficient manner. (collectively referred to as Personal Health Information/PHI)
- Payment and billing information: The Company shall collect your billing name, billing address and
payment method when you pay for the Services availed by you on the Platform (as defined in the Terms
of Use available here https://phr.narayana.health/terms-of-use.html
on the Platform). Please note that the Company would collect your
credit/debit card number or credit/debit card expiry date or other details pertaining to your
credit/debit card. Credit/debit card information will be obtained and processed by our online
payment partners razor pay. All Information related to your credit/debit card will not be stored by
the Company.
- Other information: While you use the Platform, the Company shall collect information about your IP
address and the browser you are using.
You acknowledge and agree that any and all information that is provided by you on the Platform is
provided by you voluntarily or that you are authorized to provide such information without violating
privacy of any person and that the information is provided at your own risk.
You shall be responsible for the accuracy of the information provided to the Company for the use of the
Platform and the Services. If there is any mistake in or change to Information provided by you for the
use of Platform, you shall immediately notify the Company at
feedback@narayana.health. You shall be solely liable for the
consequences of providing incomplete, inaccurate or incorrect information on the Platform. Where the
Company has reasons to believe that the information provided by you on the Platform in incorrect or
incomplete, the Company may restrict you from using the Platform by disabling your User Account.
The Platform is not directed at minors, and we do not seek to collect any information directly from
children including those under the age of 18. If we learn that we have received any information from an
individual under the age of 18, we will use that information only to respond directly to the minor (or a
parent or legal guardian) to inform him or her that he or she cannot use the Services and subsequently
we will delete that information from our own servers. However, the parent or legal guardian may use the
Platform and provide Information on behalf of the minor in order to use the Services offered on the
Platform.
If you want to discontinue the use of the Platform, or if you want to withdraw the consent granted to
the Platform for collecting and processing your data, please notify the Company at
feedback@narayana.health . Once you discontinue the use
of the Platform or withdraw your consent, the Company shall retain the personal information provided by
you on the Platform for such time period as may be mandated by applicable law (if any) and thereafter
use anonymized information for research and academic teaching.
Information may be collected in several ways
- Active collection: This refers to the information that is actively provided by you while
registering on the Platform, while availing of the Services through the Platform, while
making payments using the payment gateway on the Platform etc.
- Passive collection: This refers to the information that is gathered by the Company using
tracking and Analytical tools, browser cookies etc. for collecting information about your usage of
our Platform. This information may be used by the Company for internal research to understand User
demographics, interests and behaviour with a view to improving the functionality of the Platform,
track your preferences, to provide you with a customized Platform experience, to notify you of any
updated information and new services and other related functions offered by the Platform/ Company,
keep you informed about latest content available on the Platform, special offers, and other products
and services of the Company, to assist you with customer service or technical support issues and so
on.
While the Company does not actively collect any information from persons who visit the Platform, but do
not register themselves on it or avail of the Services, certain portions of this Privacy Policy would be
applicable to such visitors as well.
Use of your personal information by the Company:

availed by you through the Platform.

de-identified form for medical research purposes.
The Company shall use your information only to the extent mentioned in this Policy and in a manner that
is permitted by applicable law.
Processing of the data collected by the Platform:
All data that is shared by you on the Platform shall be processed by the Company. Personally
identifiable data shared by you shall be stored and processed only for the purpose of providing the
Services, and to contact you. Medical data and reports shared by you on the Platform may be processed
for research and analysis in a deidentified form. The Company may also publish such research studies and
findings in reputed medical journals and conferences (such as the ASCO) in a deidentified form. The
Company follows reasonable security practices and procedures as per Industry standards and follows best
practices to ensure the Information is processed in a secure manner. If you would, at any time, revoke
your consent for the processing of the data shared by you on the Platform, you could do so by sending an
email to
feedback@narayana.health. Once such an email is
received, the Company will remove your personal data from the data that is being processed in the manner
set out in the aforesaid paragraphs.
Sharing of information by the Company with third-parties:
- Service Providers: The Company shall share your information with third parties who the
Company has contracted with for assistance with performing the Services such as Doctors, para-medic
staff Hospitals, the Medical Board constituted by the Company, payment processors or transactional
or promotional message processors or technological partners or third party processors. In the
future, your medical data and history in a deidentified form may be shared with researchers for
study, analysis and publication.

Compliance with law: The Company might share your information to respond to a court order or
subpoena. The Company shall share your information if a government agency or investigatory body
requests the Company to do so.

Mergers and Acquisitions: If the Company sells its business or hives of a portion of the same
to a new entity, your personal information that is available on the Platform may be transferred to
the new entity.
SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
Please note that neither the Company nor any of its employees would have access to the password that
relates to your User account on the Platform. You shall be solely responsible for protecting your login
credentials to the Platform, and the Company shall not be liable in any manner for unauthorised use of
your login credentials. You shall be liable to the Company for any loss suffered by the Company as a
result of unauthorised use of your login credentials. In the event of any misuse or suspected misuse of

While the Company shall seek to implement the best market practices and security policies for the
protection of your personal information, it shall not be liable for improper use or disclosure,
unauthorised modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss of information or any Cyber
Incidents. It is expressly stated that the Company shall not be responsible for any breach of security
or for any actions of any third parties that receive Users' personal data or events that are beyond the
reasonable control of the Company including, acts of government, computer hacking, unauthorized access
to computer data and storage devices and storage technology, hardware, computer crashes, breach of
security and encryption etc.
The Company shall transfer and store the Information in India, a country that may not have the same
level of data protection as in your country of residence for the purpose of rendering Services.
Cookies: A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once
you grant the permission, the file is added, and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know
when you visit a particular site. The Company uses traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being

REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES
If a User has any questions or grievances regarding the Platform, the contents thereof, the manner in
which personal data is being collated or processed by the Platform or is in need of making data access
requests or has any questions regarding the Services, the User may reach out to The Grievance Officer of
the Company customer support at canceropinion@narayanahealth.org (the "Grievance Officer"). The
Grievance Officer shall address any question or complaint or grievance that is raised by a User within a
period of one (1) month from the date on which it is raised and complete information on the complaint is
provided to the Grievance Officer.
Where the Company requires additional information to process and respond to the query raised by a User,
the Company shall notify the User of the same.
MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS
Force Majeure: The Company shall not be responsible for any cessation, interruption or delay in
the performance of its obligations hereunder due to earthquake, flood, fire, storm, natural disaster,
act of God, war, terrorism, armed conflict, labour strike, lockout, or boycott or change in law
governing the Services rendered herein. The Company may at any time, in its sole discretion and without
advance notice to you, cease operation of the Platform and the provision of the Services.
No Waiver: A delay or failure by the Company to exercise or enforce any right or provision of
this Privacy Policy will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Notices: All notices given to a User by the Company or by a User to the Company or another User
shall be in writing and in the English language. Such notice shall be sent by e-mail or mailed by a
prepaid recognized courier service to the intended recipient at the address set out below, or any

Governing Law; Jurisdiction: This Privacy Policy is governed by the provisions of Indian law,
